Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a leading healthcare organization providing high-quality surgical and patient care services in Spring, TX . Position Details Location: Spring, TX Pay : Up to 57/hr Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite Contract: 2 months temp to hire Schedule: Monday-Friday Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Dress Code: Scrubs - any color Travel: None Interview: Microsoft Teams Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will support the organization and daily operations of the operating room while providing safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with established federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and facility policies and procedures. The RN will assist the Charge Nurse with overseeing patient care activities, support Operating Room Technicians and physicians during procedures, and help maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment. This position is well suited for an experienced OR RN who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, technicians, patients, and families. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director and Supervisor with the organization and daily operations of the operating room. Support the Charge Nurse in overseeing patient care activities within the operating room. Provide safe, competent, age-appropriate nursing care in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Assist physicians and Operating Room Technicians with direct patient care and surgical procedures. Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Serve as a patient liaison and communicate appropriately regarding care provided and patient needs. Communicate patient information effectively, professionally, and courteously with physicians, anesthesia providers, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors. Monitor inventory levels, identify outdated supplies, and communicate equipment or supply needs to the appropriate leadership or Materials Management team. Serve as a professional role model and resource for technicians and orderlies. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the ASC and clinic teams. Follow applicable AORN, ASPAN, and/or SGNA standards based on the patient's care setting and needs. Support compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to patient safety. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). 2+ years of operating room/perioperative nursing experience. Basic computer skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with physicians, anesthesia, nursing staff, technicians, patients, and families. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting. BSN preferred. AORN or other relevant specialty certification preferred. Experience working within perioperative nursing standards and practices. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced surgical environment. Demonstrated leadership and ability to serve as a resource to OR technicians and support staff.
