This assignment spans two inpatient facilities operating within an established health system, with the primary site handling the majority of pediatric surgical volume. The secondary facility is located approximately 25 miles from the primary site and is expected to generate rare call activity. Both facilities maintain APP staffing to support coordinated clinical operations and facilitate an efficient call-escalation model throughout each coverage period.

The area offers a range of attractions spanning science, nature, and the arts. Destinations include Space Center Houston, the Houston Zoo, the Museum of Natural Science, and Hermann Park. The museum district, Discovery Green, Buffalo Bayou, and the Downtown Aquarium provide additional options for outdoor and cultural experiences. Public transit, including bus service from George Bush Intercontinental Airport to downtown, offers a practical option for getting around the area.

Clinicians will provide inpatient 24-hour call coverage for pediatric surgical services across two facilities, with coverage running from 7:00 AM on Friday, October 16, 2026, through 7:00 AM on Monday, October 19, 2026. The primary volume of clinical activity is concentrated at one facility, with the second site approximately 25 miles away; calls to the second site are anticipated to be infrequent. APPs serve as first call at both sites, and the clinician will be contacted only as clinically indicated. Board certification in Pediatric Surgery is required for this assignment.
