Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Pediatrician position at HMS Unani Medical College & Hospital, Tumkur, Karnataka.

The Pediatrician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct pediatric outpatient consultations and clinical assessments.

* Diagnose and manage common and complex pediatric conditions.

* Provide appropriate treatment and follow-up care.

* Assess and manage pediatric emergencies and arrange referral when required.

* Monitor child growth, development, nutrition, and overall health.

* Counsel parents and families regarding nutrition, vaccination, preventive healthcare, and child development.

* Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

* Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.

* Participate in hospital health camps and community healthcare activities when required.

* Contribute to clinical teaching and mentoring of medical students where appropriate.

* Follow hospital protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety and ethical medical practice.

Qualifications

* MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics from a recognized institution.

* Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.

* Strong clinical knowledge and pediatric assessment skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

* Previous clinical experience in Pediatrics is preferred.

* Experience in teaching or mentoring medical students will be an advantage.
