JOB PROFILE- Mathematics Teacher

Delhi Public School, Gaya is seeking passionate, qualified and experienced Mathematics Teachers for the following positions:

• PRT – Mathematics
• TGT – Mathematics
• PGT – Mathematics

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and student progress.
• Contribute to the effective and efficient functioning of the school.
• Promote a positive, purposeful and professional school culture.
• Support and motivate students and colleagues.
• Encourage continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices.

TEACHING & LEARNING RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Demonstrate a genuine passion for Mathematics and effective teaching pedagogy.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students across different ability levels.
• Make effective use of Audio-Visual aids and innovative teaching methods.
• Provide additional academic support and revision sessions when required.
• Stay updated with developments in Mathematics and modern teaching methodologies.
• Promote positive behaviour and productive relationships with students.
• Assess, record and monitor student progress in accordance with school guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate teaching materials, resources and academic records.

DEPARTMENT & SCHOOL RESPONSIBILITIES-

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental goals.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and school initiatives.
• Share ideas and best practices to improve teaching and learning.
• Contribute to cross-curricular activities and school-wide initiatives.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required by the department or school management.
• Participate in continuous professional development.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS-

PRT – Mathematics

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s/ B.ed Degree with relevant teaching qualifications as per applicable norms.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Mathematics.
• Ability to engage young learners through interactive and activity-based teaching.

TGT – Mathematics

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/ B.ed Degree in Mathematics with relevant teaching qualifications.
• Relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to teach Mathematics effectively across the secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.

PGT – Mathematics

• Master’s along with B.ed Degree in Mathematics .
• 3+ years of relevant teaching experience .
• Ability to teach Mathematics up to 10+2 level .
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Mathematics pedagogy.
• Ability to explain abstract mathematical concepts using concrete, visual and practical approaches.
• Experience with Mastery in Mathematics or similar teaching approaches will be an advantage.
