A growing defense technology company is seeking a hands-on Technical Systems Engineering Manager to support the integration, testing, troubleshooting, and successful deployment of advanced hardware/software systems.
This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the product—not just managing requirements from a distance. You will work across engineering, operations, training, and customer stakeholders to ensure systems are integrated, tested, documented, and ready for real-world use.
What you’ll do:Lead and support technical system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and customer deployment activitiesAct as a key technical bridge between U.S. customers and an R&D/engineering teamDiagnose system issues, drive root-cause analysis, and help move solutions through resolutionSupport product validation, technical documentation, training, and continuous-improvement effortsCoordinate across hardware, software, systems, operations, and customer teamsHelp build scalable technical processes as the organization continues to grow
What we’re looking for:5+ years of systems engineering experienceHands-on experience with system integration, test, validation, troubleshooting, and technical documentationDefense, aerospace, weapons, sensors, electro-optics, RF, radar, robotics, or other complex hardware/software systems experience strongly preferredComfortable xzbcwsv working in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers, technical teams, and senior stakeholdersU.S. citizenship required; an active security clearance is a plusAbility to work onsite in Herndon, VA five days per week and travel approximately 20%, including occasional international travel
