Overview Registered Nurse – Float Pool in Geneva, NY, United States. This travel assignment begins 08/31/2026 and runs for 26 weeks in a short-term acute care setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,277 to $2,343. Shift is 3x12-hour nights (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with holidays and every other weekend required, plus 2 on-call shifts every four weeks. Guaranteed hours are 0.0. The role requires cross-unit coverage across med/surg, ICU, ER, and MST units within a float pool environment. Key Highlights

- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital float pool across multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER, MST)
- Deliver bedside nursing care to patients across multiple units within the float pool, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications, perform IV therapies, monitor vitals and hemodynamic status, and assist with procedures per established protocols.
- Monitor patient status, identify changes, escalate concerns to the appropriate clinician, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Float across units as assigned; adapt to different routines, equipment, and workflows while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record; maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary communication.
- Active New York State RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS through AHA or RQI, required
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
- Must be cross-trained for multi-unit coverage (med/surg, ICU, ER, MST) and comfortable floating to ICU/ER/MS/MST
