Job Description
Hourly Pay Range: $26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights:
- Position: Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab
- Hours: Hours of operation are 6 am- 7 pm, employee hours vary
- Schedule: 24 hours per week
- No weekends or holidays
- 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred ECG (EKG) interpretation skills
- Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred. MS preferred
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including vital signs and ECG (EKG)
- Modify exercise plans based on patient response and progress
- Lead group exercise sessions, including warm-up and cool-down
- Provide patient education on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Support safe, effective progression toward independent, home-based exercise routines
