About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java & Kafka Developer with 10+ years of strong hands-on experience in backend development, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Microservices, and complex SQL query writing . The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining highly scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot .
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka .
• Develop Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and event-processing workflows.
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant microservices and REST APIs .
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries involving joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and nested queries.
• Analyze query execution plans and optimize database performance through indexing and query tuning.
• Work with large datasets and high-volume transactional systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, Kafka, database, and production issues.
• Perform performance tuning across application, database, and messaging layers.
• Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Develop unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, Data, and Architecture teams.
• Mentor other developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills

Java

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience .
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Java 8/11/17+ .
• Excellent understanding of OOP, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, and JVM .
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPA .
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and Microservices .
