Hygiene Supervisor

b Overview /b p In this role you guide the Hygiene team to uphold exceptional food safety and hygiene. You will bridge gaps between hygiene, operations, and technical teams to ensure audit readiness and ongoing improvements. You’ll manage daily cleaning, pest control, and root-cause analysis to support site safety and quality. This is a hands-on leadership position that directly supports Gousto’s high standards and scalable operations. You’ll work in a fast-paced food manufacture environment with a clear impact on product integrity and compliance. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li 25 days paid leave /li li 40% Gousto discount /li li Pension /li li Healthcare /li li Aviva digital GP and wellness app /li li Gym membership /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead and coordinate the Hygiene team to complete cleaning tasks efficiently /li li Develop risk-based hygiene systems and cleaning instructions for areas and equipment /li li Deliver hygiene and safety training to team members /li li Plan and manage hygiene schedules across site facilities /li li Support engineering during planned preventive maintenance /li li Lead hygiene audits and close out corrective actions /li li Manage chemical stock, cleaning equipment, and purchasing /li li Ensure compliance with Health Safety and COSHH guidelines /li li Oversee pest control activities and maintain action tracker /li li Act as primary contact for third-party cleaning service providers /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience supervising or leading teams in a workplace /li li Strong communication skills across departments /li li Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and cleaning standards in food production /li li Problem-solving with effective priority management /li li Familiarity with document control, schedules, and safety records /li li Experience with cleaning chemicals, equipment safety, and Health Safety procedures /li li Proficient IT skills, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) /li li Familiarity with risk assessments /li li COSHH Training /li /ul ul li clear communication /li li team leadership /li li problem-solving /li li hygiene and safety standards in food production /li li COSHH guidelines /li li risk assessments /li /ul
