Job Description

Investor Onboarding Associate

Location: Rockefeller Center, New York, NY

Industry: Real Estate Private Credit

A growing real estate private credit firm is seeking an Investor Onboarding & Investor Relations Operations professional to join its lean, hands-on team in New York City. The firm manages approximately $500 million in assets under management, primarily lending against senior-secured Class A residential properties in the New York area, with additional investments in Florida and California.

The firm manages an open-end evergreen fund serving high-net-worth individuals and small family offices. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership, including the Managing Partner, and the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day investor onboarding, servicing, and operational processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience processing investor documentation and managing investor account operations, with the ability to work independently in a small-team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing investor relationships from an operational servicing and account maintenance perspective.
  • Oversee investor onboarding, including subscription documents, KYC requirements, custodian paperwork, account transfers, and related documentation.
  • Administer investor portal access, account statements, tax documentation, including 1099s and K-1s, and CRM records.
  • Prepare and maintain investor-facing materials, including due diligence questionnaires, presentations, investor letters, conference materials, and roadshow decks.
  • Process and coordinate investor subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and other fund inflows and outflows.
  • Review investor reporting, distribution calculations, performance figures, and financial information for accuracy and consistency.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day investor operational needs and inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding workflows, documentation management, and investor servicing processes.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient investor experience.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in investor onboarding, investor relations operations, fund operations, or investor servicing within an alternative investment manager, private credit firm, real estate investment platform, or similar financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience processing subscription documents, KYC documentation, custodian forms, and investor transfers.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and execution.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and take ownership of day-to-day processes.
  • Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or private fund investors is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with investor portals, CRM systems, investor reporting, and fund documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow with the business.
