Location: Huntsville, AL (on-site at NASA MSFC) Type: Full time Salary: $80,000-$85,000 + excellent benefitsAbout the Role Altech Solutions is hiring a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to support enterprise IT systems at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. This is a hands-on, Linux-first role. Most of the work centers on DNS/DDI servers, with a strong emphasis on automation through Ansible and scripting.What You’ll DoAdminister, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux/RHEL servers in a NASA operational environmentSupport DNS/DDI infrastructureAutomate configuration, deployment, and maintenance tasks using Ansible and scriptingWork with Cisco Software Defined Networking as part of day-to-day system supportSupport the small portion of the environment that runs on VMwarePerform patching, upgrades, backups, and routine audits to keep systems compliant with NASA IT policiesMonitor and tune systems for performance and reliabilityWrite and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system diagramsWork closely with network engineers, application teams, and other administrators to resolve issuesWhat We NeedBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field6+ years of professional systems administration experienceStrong Linux/RHEL administration skillsHands-on experience with Ansible and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)Working knowledge of Cisco Software Defined NetworkingExperience with DNS/DDI serversSome VMware experiencePreferredRed Hat certification (RHCSA/RHCE) and/or CompTIA Security+Experience supporting government, aerospace, or NASA environmentsCurrent Public Trust clearanceRequirementsUS citizenship is required. This position supports a federal contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.This is an on-site position at NASA MSFC.
