Senior Procurement Professional - 12 month contract - Samlesbury Aerodrome, Lancashire - £33.24 ph UMB or £24.78 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.The RoleManaging a UK and international supply base and the associated order book to ensure the Typhoonand F35 Production line has the required stock levels maintained in a fast paced environment as well as support in service HAwk and T45 customer requirementsWorking closely with internal customers, cross-functional collabration with value, engineering and quality to understand requirements, analyse, identify and resolve issues.Develop and use your professional network, enabling efficient and effective delivery of production requirements.Role Responsibilities:Not limited to…Ensuring timely placement of Purchase Contracts whilst ensuring adherance to Procurement/Supplier governance such as supplier accreditations and export controlsEngaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the parts meets the requirements of the business and our customers.Effective supplier relationship management maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliersProactively monitoring and communicating supplier's key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring schedule adherence, invoice management and quality assurance performance.Influencing and expediting dependencies via robust review mechanisms with suppliers and internal stakeholdersInterfacing across the Air business and with other teams and functions, e.g. PM, Engineering, Commercial, FinanceEnsuring correct and current data is maintained in the ERP systemTravel to suppliers to lead Business and Orderbook reviewsWhat are BAE Systems looking for from you?Essential:Extensive Procurement experience, preferably in a high volume, fast paced aerospace, defence, regulated or manufacturing marketSupply Chain orderbook management experience including experience of high volumes of purchase orders, supplier updates, queries and invoicesA Continuous Improvement mind-set with proven examples of identifying new ideas that drive improvement, problem solving and working collaboratively with others to identify a solution, ideally within a Procurement (or similar) environmentDemonstrative working understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office EXCEL to a high level is essentialAbility to compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentationsA proven ability to collaborate, fostering close & trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders by using excellent verbal and written communication skillsDesirable:Experience with Tableau reporting system.MCIPS or a similar business/procurement related qualification would be welcomedSecurity Requirements: SCThis role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
