General Manager of Sales

We are hiring for one of India’s leading AgriTech companies, working at the intersection of agriculture, dairy and farm mechanisation . The company is building solutions across silage, agricultural machinery and allied farm solutions , with a strong focus on enabling farmers and dairy businesses through technology, mechanisation and organised distribution. About the Role We are looking for a General Manager – Sales to lead and scale the company’s Agricultural Machinery and Silage businesses . The role will be responsible for driving overall sales growth, expanding dealer and distributor networks, developing institutional business, strengthening rural market penetration and leading a high-performing sales organisation. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience across farm equipment, tractors, agricultural machinery, silage, cattle feed, agri-inputs or allied sectors , with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role. What You Will Drive Overall sales strategy and business growth across Machinery & Silage Expansion and management of dealer/distributor networks Rural, semi-urban and dairy-market penetration Institutional sales across dairy farms, contractors, FPOs and large farmers Development of silage demand and contractor-led business models Leadership of regional and field sales teams Sales forecasting, collections, working capital and P&L ownership Market development through dealer meets, farmer engagements, demonstrations and product launches What We’re Looking For 10–15 years of relevant sales experience Experience in Farm Equipment / Tractors / Agri Machinery / Silage / Dairy Feed / Fodder / Agri Inputs Minimum 5 years in a leadership role such as AGM / DGM / Regional Head or equivalent Proven experience in dealer appointment and channel expansion Strong multi-state sales and rural distribution experience Exposure to P&L ownership and commercial management Strong team leadership and business-development orientation Relevant backgrounds: Farm Equipment | Tractors | Agricultural Machinery | Silage | Dairy/Fodder Solutions | Agri Business | Rural Distribution
