Wind Turbine Technician (United States)

Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician Location: United States Project Type: Onshore Wind Employment Type: Contract and Long-Term Assignments Workplace Type: On-site Role Overview Select Offshore is recruiting Wind Turbine Technicians to support utility-scale onshore wind farm projects across the United States. This is a hands-on field role suited to technicians with experience in wind turbine installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance on modern multi-MW turbine platforms. Opportunities are available for both project-based and longer-term assignments depending on experience and location. Key Responsibilities • Perform wind turbine installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance activities • Execute mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tasks in line with OEM procedures • Conduct troubleshooting, inspections, and fault finding on wind turbine systems • Follow all site safety requirements including lock-out tag-out and permit systems • Complete daily work reports and maintenance documentation • Work effectively as part of a site-based technical team Required Experience and Qualifications • Previous experience working as a wind turbine technician on utility-scale projects • Mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical background • Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic diagrams • Valid GWO certifications including BST and BTT or equivalent US safety training • Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions • Willingness to travel or work rotationally across the United States Preferred Experience • Installation, commissioning, or service experience on modern onshore turbines • Experience with major component exchange support or heavy maintenance • Familiarity with OEM procedures and quality standards What’s on Offer • Opportunities on major onshore wind projects across the USA • Competitive hourly or day rates • Long-term project potential depending on performance and demand • Full support with mobilisation, compliance, and site onboarding via Select Offshore
