Project Manager Government SI Projects

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing Government IT System Integration (SI) projects. The ideal candidate should have successfully handled end-to-end software implementation projects in the Government/Public Sector ecosystem, including client engagement, project execution, financial management, and stakeholder coordination.

This role requires a hands-on project manager capable of driving multiple activities simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Government IT System Integration (SI) software projects.
• Lead multiple software implementation projects simultaneously.
• Drive Program Management activities across project lifecycle.
• Coordinate extensively with Government clients and key stakeholders.
• Prepare project execution plans, working plans, milestones, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure successful execution of software projects within timelines and budgets.
• Handle P&L responsibilities for assigned projects.
• Manage project financials including:

Raising invoices

Payment follow-up

Revenue tracking

Cost monitoring

• Prepare project presentations, status reports, and executive dashboards.
• Participate in client proposals, bid discussions, and pre-sales support.
• Conduct client presentations and project review meetings.
• Manage project risks, issue resolution, and change requests.
• Coordinate with internal technical teams, QA teams, implementation teams, and customers.
• Monitor software testing and implementation progress.
• Ensure project governance, documentation, and compliance with contractual commitments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor project members.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and successful project closure.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Management.
• Must have handled Government IT System Integration (SI) Projects.
• Strong experience in Software Project Management.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong client coordination with Government departments.
• Experience handling project commercial activities including invoicing and payment processes.
• Strong presentation and proposal preparation skills.
• Experience managing project P&L.
• Excellent people management capability.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates from System Integrator (SI), EPC, Infrastructure Technology, Smart City, e-Governance, Digital Transformation, or Government Consulting organizations are highly preferred.
• Experience is more important than educational qualification.
• Looking for a Junior Project Manager or Mid-Level Project Manager, not a very senior leadership profile.
• Candidate should be willing to manage the complete project lifecycle independently.
