FAMILY SUPPORT ADVOCATE IIHS Job Code:07-26-SCCRL-NL State:South Carolina Office Location:Charleston FT/PT Status:Full Time Job TypeSocial Service Worker Job Description: YOUR JOB As a Family Support Advocate, you'll work directly with children and families to strengthen stability, build skills, and promote positive change within the home. This role is relationship-driven and hands-on, providing practical support, guidance, and encouragement that empowers families to overcome challenges and move toward long-term success. WHO WE ARE Founded in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1967, The Bair Foundation is a Christian non-profit ministry serving children and families. We have provided quality care and services to children, youth, and families through a myriad of effective community-based services. Today, The Bair Foundation provides services in multiple states across the country. Our programs are child-centered, family-focused, strength-based, and culturally competent, making a meaningful and lasting impact on the children and families we serve. WHAT YOU'LL DO TO MAKE AN IMPACT Walk alongside children and families as they build stability, confidence, and hope within their homes Be a consistent, supportive presence for families navigating change, stress, and new beginnings Help parents and caregivers strengthen daily routines, relationships, and problem-solving skills Encourage families as they recognize their own strengths and take steps toward lasting growth Create safe, supportive spaces where families feel heard, respected, and empowered Celebrate progressboth big milestones and small victoriesalong the journey WHAT YOU BRING (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred Experience working with children and families preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently in home and community settings Must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
