About the Project
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to support a critical Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) project for one of our enterprise clients based in Pune. This engagement serves as a prerequisite for a larger program initiative. The client is currently facing technical challenges that require on-the-ground support—hence, we are seeking a consultant who can work closely with the client team at their Pune location to troubleshoot, implement, and stabilize the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, configuration, and migration of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) from version 2.4 to 2.6.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise in automating networking workflows using Ansible.
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to understand current pain points and deliver tailored automation solutions.
- Perform health checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of existing AAP environments.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for network automation use cases.
- Ensure smooth cutover during migration with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Document technical designs, migration plans, and operational runbooks.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to client teams as needed.
Must-Have Skills (Primary)
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) – hands-on experience with versions 2.4, 2.5, and 2.6.
- Proven experience in AAP installation, upgrade, and migration (particularly 2.4 → 2.6).
- Strong expertise in Ansible for Networking – automation of network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.) using Ansible modules and collections.
- Good understanding of Ansible Tower / AAP architecture, including inventory management, job templates, credentials, and RBAC.
- Experience with Linux system administration (RHEL preferred) and shell scripting.
- Ability to work independently and drive technical deliverables with minimal supervision.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure automation, with at least 4+ years focused on Ansible/AAP.
- Location: Preferably based in Pune or willing to relocate/travel to Pune for the entire contract duration.
- Availability: Able to join immediately or within 7–10 days of offer
Good-to-Have Skills (Secondary)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of AAP with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or containerized AAP deployments.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (or equivalent certification).
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex network topologies.
