Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at New Story Schools, you will help create and maintain safe, functional, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff. You will perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements that keep our schools running smoothly every day. What You’ll Need High school diploma or equivalent At least two years of experience in general maintenance or repair services Basic knowledge of drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems HVAC equipment and controls experience preferred; training provided. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between regional school sites Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety What You’ll Do Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections across school facilities Maintain building grounds, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness Address and resolve maintenance requests promptly to prevent safety hazards Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
