Inpatient Pharmacist – Contract Opportunity ( Hospital Experience Required ) Location: Oak Park, IL Start Date: 10/26/2026 Contract: 13 Weeks ( Potential to extend) Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM (2nd Shift) Openings: 2 Pay Range: $75/hr - $79/hr Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment in Oak Park, Illinois. This is a 2nd shift inpatient pharmacy position , working 5×8-hour shifts from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have strong hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment as part of a multidisciplinary team. Job Responsibilities Provide safe and effective pharmaceutical care to inpatient patients. Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, interactions, and dosing. Dispense medications according to hospital policies and procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy. Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug-related problems. Provide medication information and clinical support to healthcare staff. Ensure appropriate medication preparation, distribution, and documentation. Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal pharmacy regulations. Participate in medication reconciliation and patient-safety initiatives as applicable. Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation. Support daily inpatient pharmacy operations and workflow. Requirements Active Pharmacist license in Illinois. Inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred. Strong medication safety and clinical knowledge. Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be available for the 2nd shift schedule: 12:30 PM–9:00 PM Must be willing to commit to the full 13-week contract
