Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Overview Provides occupational therapy interventions to designated patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). Assists in monitoring patient progress through observations and follows up with supervising therapist. Works under OT supervision as required under NY State Education law. • Implements occupational therapy services as prescribed in the plan of care for the patient and as directed by the Coordinator of COTA Services or the supervising OT. • Performs occupational therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the Coordinator of COTA Services or the supervising OT. • Participates in educating the patients and family. • Reports observation of patient‘s performance and responses to services provided to the Coordinator of COTA Service
