Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Merced, CA, responsible for overseeing daily operations across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer support functions. This role leads cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production, consistent product quality, and timely delivery of fire rated glass and framing solutions. The COO partners with executive leadership to develop and implement business plans, operational strategies, and performance metrics aligned with growth and profitability goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include optimizing processes, managing budgets and resource allocation, monitoring key performance indicators, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The COO will also collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and finance to enhance customer experience, maintain compliance with safety and building standards, and support long-term strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Strong Business Planning and strategic leadership skills to develop and execute operational roadmaps.Proven Operations Management experience in manufacturing or related industrial environments.Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, optimize processes, and drive performance improvements.Solid Finance and Budgeting skills to manage P&L, allocate resources, and support sustainable growth.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams, with a focus on accountability and collaboration.Experience in building products, construction materials, or glazing solutions is highly beneficial.Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards relevant to commercial building products.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities. xzbcwsv Track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage.
