Job Description
An established East Coast personal injury law firm is seeking a highly experienced Personal Injury Intake and Triage Specialist to work in-house with its call center team in Ocean County, New Jersey.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned personal injury paralegal, insurance adjuster, attorney, or retired attorney with extensive knowledge of personal injury claims and the judgment to evaluate potential cases quickly and accurately.
This is a hands-on, real-time position. The Triage Specialist will work directly with intake staff as calls and inquiries are received—helping them identify important issues, obtain the right information, prioritize potential cases, and direct each matter to the appropriate attorney, department, or next step.Key Responsibilities· Review and triage new personal injury inquiries in real time· Recognize potentially valuable, urgent, or time-sensitive cases· Help intake staff ask the right questions and obtain critical information· Identify missing facts, records, documentation, and follow-up needs· Prioritize leads based on urgency, potential value, and firm criteria· Make routine triage and routing decisions within established guidelines· Direct matters promptly to the appropriate attorneys or departments· Escalate complex, high-value, or uncertain matters to the supervising partner· Monitor pending intakes and ensure that important opportunities do not fall through the cracks· Train and coach intake staff on personal injury issue spotting and effective questioning· Help improve the quality, consistency, speed, and accountability of the intake process· Work closely with the partner responsible for the call centerQualifications· Significant experience handling or evaluating personal injury matters· Strong understanding of personal injury claims, liability, damages, insurance coverage, statutes of limitation, and case-value indicators· Background as a personal injury paralegal, claims manager, attorney, xzbcwsv or retired attorney· Excellent judgment and ability to make timely, practical decisions· Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills· Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment· Detail-oriented, organized, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership· Able to work collaboratively with intake staff, attorneys, management, and firm partners· Must be available to work on-site in ocean County, New JerseyThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced personal injury professional who understands what makes a strong case and can bring sound judgment, structure, and leadership to a busy intake operation.
