Job Summary

The Visiting Faculty – Physics will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, conducting practical sessions, preparing academic resources, and supporting the department in maintaining academic excellence. The faculty member will contribute to student learning through interactive teaching methodologies while ensuring compliance with the University's academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures in assigned Physics subjects as per the curriculum.
• Conduct laboratory practicals and demonstrations where applicable.
• Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, and study materials.
• Develop question papers, assignments, quizzes, and evaluation criteria.
• Assess answer scripts, practical records, and student performance.
• Maintain attendance, academic records, and internal assessment reports.
• Guide students in academic projects, seminars, and research activities.
• Provide academic mentoring and address students' learning difficulties.
• Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and academic events when required.
• Ensure timely completion of the syllabus as per the academic calendar.
• Follow University policies, examination regulations, and quality standards.

Educational Qualification

• M.Sc. in Physics with a consistently good academic record.
• NET/SLET/Ph.D. preferred as per UGC norms.
• Candidates with relevant teaching or research experience will be preferred.

Experience

• Teaching experience in a University or College is desirable.
• Fresh candidates with excellent academic credentials may also be considered.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Physics concepts and applications.
• Excellent classroom presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for students.
• Proficiency in laboratory equipment and practical instruction.
• Good interpersonal and mentoring skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with LMS/ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
