Job Description Assistant Professor – Computer Science & Engineering Institution: Amity University Patna Department: Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology Location: Patna, Bihar Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role Amity University Patna invites applications from dynamic, academically accomplished and research-oriented professionals for the position of Assistant Professor – Computer Science & Engineering . The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, student mentoring and participation in academic and institutional activities. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and practical classes for UG/PG students. Develop and update course content, lesson plans and teaching materials in line with industry and technological developments. Conduct examinations, evaluate student performance and maintain academic records. Guide student projects, internships, dissertations and research activities. Mentor students for academic, professional and career development. Undertake quality research and publish research papers in reputed journals/conferences. Participate in FDPs, seminars, workshops, conferences and other academic activities. Contribute to curriculum development, departmental activities and academic administration. Promote industry-academia collaboration, innovation and technology-enabled learning. Preferred Areas of Specialization Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Data Science & Big Data Analytics Cyber Security / Information Security Cloud Computing & Distributed Systems Internet of Things (IoT) Computer Networks Database Management Systems Software Engineering Web Technologies / Full-Stack Development Operating Systems & Computer Architecture Natural Language Processing Computer Vision / Deep Learning Generative AI Eligibility & Experience Ph.D. in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized university. Strong academic and research record with quality publications will be preferred. Relevant teaching, research, industry or academic administration experience will be an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate strong subject knowledge, communication and presentation skills. Ability to adopt innovative and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
