Job Title: Transmission Engineer Salary range: $95K - $150K DOERemote: Full remote is an option only if you do not live within a drivable distance of one of the client's offices and then hybrid schedule could be worked (3 days in office) (Denver, CO; Anaheim, San Diego or San Ramon, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, College Station or Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, Duluth or Minneapolis, MN, Milwaukee, WI, Naperville or Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, Atlanta, GA, Philadelphia, PA, Charlotte, NC, Amherst, NH, Tampa, FL)
A Transmission Engineer responsible for engineering, design, and analysis of transmission lines, as well as the development of comprehensive project packages.Required:B.S. in Engineering from ABET accredited program4+ years of experience required within Transmission Engineering.PLS CADD required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for the engineering and design of high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation and assembly drawings.Conducting detailed analysis to ensure system reliability and efficiency.Provide field support during construction.Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may involve a variety of complex features.May coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments.Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.Adhere to codes and standards while delivering innovative solutions.
