Family Nurse Practitioner Location: Oakdale, Louisiana Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site) Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our clinic in Oakdale, Louisiana. The provider will deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. This role involves diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, conducting physical examinations, providing preventive care, managing chronic conditions, and educating patients and families while working closely with physicians and clinical staff. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric and adult patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans based on patient needs. Provide preventive care services, including annual wellness exams, immunizations, health screenings, and chronic disease management. Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Educate patients and families regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, healthy lifestyle choices, and preventive healthcare. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies. Ensure adherence to evidence-based clinical practices, medical standards, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP, or related field). Current Louisiana Nurse Practitioner license in good standing. Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, ANP, or equivalent). DEA registration and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain). Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based healthcare environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Preferred Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification. Prior experience in family medicine, primary care, rural health, or community health clinic settings. Experience providing care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
