We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own critical VMware Cloud Foundation and Cisco UCS infrastructure within a complex enterprise environment. This hands-on position combines infrastructure engineering, virtualization, data center modernization, and technical leadership, with direct responsibility for platform reliability, security, and scalability.
ResponsibilitiesEngineer, deploy, and maintain enterprise VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, and SDDC Manager.Lead virtualization lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, compatibility validation, performance optimization, and remediation.Design, configure, and support Cisco UCS X-Series infrastructure using Cisco Intersight, Fabric Interconnects, and associated networking and storage connectivity.Maintain highly available infrastructure through effective resource allocation, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and operational monitoring.Lead data center modernization initiatives, including infrastructure migrations, hardware refreshes, deployments, and decommissioning.Diagnose and resolve complex Level 3/4 infrastructure issues spanning virtualization, compute, networking, SAN, storage, and hardware.Strengthen infrastructure security through configuration standards, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and compliance practices.Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and engineering teams to establish technical standards, document architecture, and execute strategic infrastructure projects.Qualifications7+ years of hands-on enterprise infrastructure engineering experience, including significant VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and VMware Cloud Foundation expertise.Practical experience with VMware SDDC Manager, NSX, VCF Operations, and VCF Automation.Strong hands-on Cisco UCS and Cisco Intersight experience supporting enterprise compute infrastructure.Experience managing infrastructure migrations, lifecycle upgrades, capacity planning, and complex production troubleshooting.Working knowledge of enterprise storage, SAN, networking, high availability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security. xzbcwsv Ability to document technical solutions, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and support infrastructure operations in a hybrid work environment.
