THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of litigation experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense to join our San Diego office. In this role, you will take a lead position on complex, high-exposure matters, serve as a primary client contact, and help mentor junior attorneys. This role offers a clear and defined path toward partnership for strong performers.
COMPENSATIONBase salary: $175,000 to $220,000 depending on experienceIn addition, attorneys are eligible for:• Annual subjective bonus• Origination bonus (enhanced for senior associates)• Objective bonus for hours billed above 1,850• Profit-sharing contributions• Firm 401(k) contributions

WHAT YOU WILL DO• Develop and execute case strategy with minimal oversight• Serve as primary client contact and provide ongoing strategic counsel• Take and defend depositions, including experts• Handle court appearances, motions, mediations, and arbitrations• Draft and review substantive motions, pleadings, and case materials• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff• Assist with budgeting, reporting, and case management
Billable requirement: 1,850 hours annually
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR• JD from an ABA-accredited law school• Active member of the California Bar in good standing• 7+ years of general liability and/or professional liability xzbcwsv litigation experience• Strong ability to manage cases independently with sound judgment• Proven success in motion practice, mediation, arbitration, or trial• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills• Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys preferred• Familiarity with Bay Area courts preferred• Interest in business development is a plus
