School of Computing

Desired Skillets Strong academic foundation in Computer Science & Engineering or allied disciplines. Passion for teaching, research, innovation, and student mentoring. Proven ability to publish in reputed Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals. Exposure to funded research projects, consultancy, patents, and technology transfer is desirable. Knowledge of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA/NAAC accreditation processes, and curriculum development. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Essential Qualifications B. E./B. Tech. and M. E./M. Tech. with First Class in the relevant discipline. Ph. D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized university (desirable for Assistant Professor; mandatory for Associate Professor and Professor as per applicable norms).

Experience Requirements

Assistant Professor

Strong academic record with B. E./B. Tech. and M. E./M. Tech. Ph. D. completed or pursuing is desirable. Teaching, research, industry experience, publications, patents, or consultancy will be an added advantage.

Associate Professor

Ph. D. in the relevant discipline. Minimum 5 years of post-Ph. D. teaching/research/industry experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Good research publications and experience in funded projects, consultancy, or research guidance are desirable.

Professor

Ph. D. in the relevant discipline. Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience , including at least 5 years as an Associate Professor or equivalent . Proven academic leadership with a strong record of research publications, funded projects, consultancy, patents, Ph. D. guidance, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Deliver undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses. Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assessments, and laboratory manuals. Adopt innovative teaching methodologies and Outcome-Based Education practices. Mentor students in academics, research, internships, placements, and career development.

Research & Innovation

Undertake quality research leading to publications in reputed journals and conferences. Secure sponsored research projects, consultancy assignments, patents, and technology transfer opportunities. Guide undergraduate projects, postgraduate dissertations, and doctoral scholars, as applicable. Promote interdisciplinary research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup initiatives.

Academic Administration

Participate in curriculum design and revision. Contribute to accreditation (NBA/NAAC), NIRF rankings, IQAC initiatives, and quality assurance processes. Participate in examination, assessment, academic governance, and departmental committees. Support institutional policies, strategic initiatives, and regulatory compliance.

Industry & Institutional Engagement

Establish collaborations with industry, research organizations, and academic institutions. Organize conferences, faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and outreach activities. Promote consultancy, internships, industry interaction, and community engagement.
