Senior Tech M&A Analyst – Investment Banking

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tech M&A Analyst with relevant Capital Raise or M&A deal origination and full life-cycle experience across the Digital, Tech-enabled Services, Data, AI and broader IT Services sector. Ideally, you have experience working with Technology Founders and Investors to originate and exposure to driving the deal process successfully and create meaningful financial and strategic outcomes for Technology investors and clients. The ideal candidate brings relevant experience from either the Tech Investment Banking or Venture Capital industry with strong track record of working with Founders and Investors to create the right solutions for growth, capital, M&A or other strategic deal outcomes that create value for stakeholders. Experience across a wide range of Technology industry verticals (AI, Data Analytics, Cloud, Consulting, B2B SaaS, FinTech, etc.) would be a plus. As a Senior Tech M&A Analyst - Investment Banking, Scouting, you will take on various responsibilities such as leading deal sourcing, networking and outreach activities within the assigned Technology sector(s) and build out a strong deal pipeline. You must have proficiency with preparing a range of investment collateral - pitch decks/IMs, investment memos, and have strong email communication skills with an ability to write well researched emails for investors, Entrepreneurs, CEOs as required. Experience with running investment/ deal sourcing campaigns, or M&A campaigns across various digital channels and CxO events is a plus.

Job Description

• Leading M&A and Investment sourcing, networking and outreach activities for the assigned Technology sector(s). This involves building relations with Tech founders, investment banking professionals, institutional investors and strategic acquirers.
• Researching, identifying and engaging with Founders of Technology companies across different sub sectors including IT Services, AI, Cloud, IoT, etc. to qualify opportunities for capital or M&A
• Building and maintaining active deal pipeline, dashboards and progressing opportunities across all stages
• Assisting with the deal sourcing and scouting process and being able to work on pitch decks, teasers and other investment or marketing collateral as required
• Planning and organizing investor/CxO networking events and specialized investment industry thought leadership panels
• Planning and participating in discovery calls with qualified companies, strategic investors, etc. and creating new opportunities for engagements

Key Requirements:

• An individual with a demonstrated ability to multi-task on Tech M&A deals at various stages and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, startup like environment
• Minimum of 2-3 years of investment sourcing and scouting experience with a tech accelerator, venture investing firm or investment bank.
• Educational background with MBA finance from a reputed institute. CA/CFA background is a plus.
• A curious, investment-oriented individual who is a passionate about Technology-led disruption, new-age business models, value creation.
• Must have strong inner drive and self-discipline, proficiency in Financial Analysis, Excel modeling.
• Experience within B2B SaaS, Data Engineering, Digital Transformation segment is a plus
• Exceptional writing and presentation skills and effective communication with Founders and Investors.
