Community radio project lead - bardez/goa based candidates only

Company Description PACT Foundation is a Goa-based non-profit organisation dedicated to positive societal change through education and empowerment. Since 2023, the flagship Happy School Project has transformed over 40 rural and semi-urban schools and reached more than 10,000 students – building smart classrooms, libraries, playgrounds, and clean sanitation in the schools that need them most. In 2025, the Foundation launched Goa Super 100, a full undergraduate scholarship programme for high-performing, low-income Goan youth. The PACT x QS Imp ACT Youth Scholarship sends outstanding young Goans to a global summit in London each year.

Role Description PACT Foundation is launching Goa's first community radio station in collaboration with Agraniya Education and Social Welfare Society, and we are looking for someone to lead it from the ground up. This is a hands-on, community-facing role at the heart of the Foundation's mission – you will be the person who builds the station's presence and relationships across Bardez and North Goa.

You will work closely with community members (schools, leaders, artists, common people etc) to identify local voices worth putting on air – musicians, activists, teachers, storytellers – and bring them into the station's programming. You will curate and design the programme slate, manage the day-to-day scheduling and running of the station, and ensure the station operates in full compliance with all applicable community radio regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Community engagement

Build relationships with schools, local institutions, and community members across Bardez and North Goa. Identify and engage people of interest – musicians, activists, educators, local voices – for programming. Represent the station on the ground and act as the primary point of contact for community partners.

Programming & content

Curate, design, and implement the station's programming across genres and formats. Develop and manage the day-to-day broadcast schedule. Work with contributors to produce and refine content ready for air.

Station operations

Manage the day-to-day affairs of the station, including staffing, equipment, and workflow. Ensure ongoing compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements governing community radio. Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation as required by the licence.

Reporting & coordination

Track progress against launch and programming milestones. Report regularly to the Founder's office on station status, community engagement, and compliance. Collaborate with PACT Foundation's broader team on cross-programme initiatives where relevant.

Qualifications

Experience in programme management, community engagement, broadcast/media, or related work (freshers are welcome to apply) A strong communicator, comfortable engaging with community members, schools, and institutions. Driven by mission, comfortable with ownership and working independently. Rooted in or committed to Goa and its communities – familiarity with Bardez and North Goa is a strong plus. Fluent in English; Konkani or Marathi a strong advantage. Experience in community engagement and community management, with the ability to design, implement, and monitor programmes that serve local audiences. Experience in project planning and coordination, managing timelines and multiple initiatives simultaneously. Familiarity with broadcast regulations and compliance is an advantage, though not mandatory. A bachelor's degree in social work, development studies, media studies, communications, or a related field is preferred
