Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and production support of Workday HCM solutions. The consultant will work closely with HR, business, and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday configurations and ensure successful delivery across the HCM landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from HR and business stakeholders.
• Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM , including organizations, staffing models, job profiles, positions, supervisory organizations, and worker data.
• Configure Workday Business Processes , including Hire, Onboarding, Change Job, Transfer, Termination, and other HR transactions.
• Develop and maintain Workday security groups, domain policies, business-process security, and role assignments .
• Create and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and notifications .
• Support functional areas such as Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, and Payroll , depending on project requirements.
• Participate in end-to-end Workday implementations from requirements and design through configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, process documentation, and user guides.
• Lead or support SIT, UAT, regression testing, data validation, and defect resolution .
• Work with integration and technical teams on EIB, Core Connectors, Workday integrations, and data migration activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Support Workday releases by assessing new functionality and identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
• Conduct client/user demonstrations, knowledge-transfer sessions, and end-user training.
• Ensure configurations align with HR policies, security standards, governance, and applicable compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday HCM implementation or support experience.
• Strong understanding of Core HCM, Business Processes, Security, Reporting, and Calculated Fields .
• Experience with Workday configuration and functional design.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and HCM concepts.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional analysis, testing, and deployment.
• Exposure to EIB, Workday Report Writer, data migration, and integrations .
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with HR, business, technical, and integration teams.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in one or more areas: Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, or Payroll .
• Experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, PECI , or other integration technologies.
• Experience working on global/multi-country Workday implementations.
• Knowledge of Workday release management.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Previous experience in a client-facing consulting role.
• Ability to mentor junior consultants and lead functional workstreams.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline .
• Workday certification in HCM or a relevant functional module is an advantage.
