Talent Events & Partnerships Manager (US-Remote)
Braintrust · United States
Job Description
About the Role
TRM Labs is looking for a highly proactive Talent Events & Partnerships Manager to build and run a high-impact events and speaking program supporting our talent brand.
This is not a traditional event-coordination role. You’ll own both the front end of the program — identifying the right companies, building relationships, and creating a pipeline of co-hosted events — and the back end, including event execution, attribution, and measuring whether those programs generate meaningful candidate interest.
You’ll work across R&D meetups, employee speaking opportunities, and founder visibility programs, with significant autonomy to build the systems and operating rhythm behind the function.
**Please note:
- This is a US-remote contract role
- The engagement is expected to be 20 hours per week and is intended to be a longer-term, ongoing engagement for the right person, with potential to expand in scope and hours based on performance and business needs
- Candidates must be able to provide at least 4 hours of daily overlap with Pacific Time
- This is an immediate need. Candidates should be readily available to interview and onboard if selected
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining strong responsiveness during the working day
What You’ll Own
- Build and maintain a strategic pipeline of potential event partners across leading high growth AI technology companies.
- Identify the right contacts, develop compelling outreach, and proactively secure co-hosting opportunities.
- Maintain a forward-looking event calendar with confirmed programming several months in advance.
- Drive toward a consistent cadence of high-quality R&D meetups and related talent-brand events.
- Own end-to-end remote event execution, including partner coordination, vendors, venue logistics, AV, registration, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up.
- Manage vendor contracting, budgets, and payment discipline.
- Build measurable attribution from event attendance through downstream candidate engagement and pipeline.
- Develop and execute webinars for non-US events
- Use tools and mechanisms such as UTMs, landing pages, tracked links, and post-event nurture to understand what is working.
- Develop creative ways to re-engage attendees after events and convert interest into deeper interaction with TRM.
- Build and manage employee speaking pipelines by identifying relevant conferences and CFP opportunities and coordinating with internal leaders.
- Support founder podcast and speaking opportunities, in partnership with TRM’s PR resources.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of recent experience operating within a high-growth technology company during its roughly 200–800 employee stage.
- Strong experience planning and executing events in a technology or startup environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build event, community, or partnership opportunities through proactive outbound outreach.
- Comfortable identifying targets, developing a pitch, following up, and moving opportunities through a pipeline.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring event impact beyond RSVPs, attendance, or surface-level engagement.
- Experience using attribution tools and approaches such as UTMs, landing pages, tracked campaigns, or similar mechanisms.
- Strong vendor, budget, and operational discipline.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment with a high performance bar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with podcast booking, earned media, or speaker placement.
- Experience with event-targeted or location-based paid social.
- Experience building post-event nurture, retargeting, or audience-engagement programs.
Important Background Note
Prior recruiting, employer-brand, or talent-brand experience is not required or even wanted, we want an expert at events in the tech space, and just apply that expertise to this domain.
We are primarily looking for someone who is excellent at events, outbound partnership-building, and measurement and can apply those skills to talent-brand outcomes.
