Role Overview:

We're hiring a Math Curriculum Creator to design and build a complete, US-standards-aligned math curriculum spanning Grades 1–10. For every grade and every class, you will produce a matched set of teacher notes, class notes, and worksheets that a tutor can pick up and teach with minimal prep. This is a high-output, detail-driven role suited to someone who can combine subject mastery with modern content-production tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design a full scope-and-sequence for Grades 1–10 math, aligned to Common Core / US state standards, broken into modules and individual class sessions.
2. Write teacher notes for each class: learning objectives, prerequisite checks, pacing guide, key talking points, common misconceptions, and suggested probing questions.
3. Write class notes (student-facing) for each class: concept explanations, worked examples, diagrams, and vocabulary — clear enough for a 1:1 online setting.
4. Create worksheets for each class: guided practice, independent practice, and homework, with an answer key, calibrated to grade-appropriate difficulty.
5. Build periodic review/revision sessions and unit assessments with rubrics or mark schemes.
6. Maintain internal consistency in formatting, difficulty progression, and terminology across all 10 grades.
7. Incorporate feedback from tutors and student performance data to iteratively improve materials.
8. Collaborate with the design/ops team to convert content into Debe's branded PDF format.

Deliverables:

1. Grade-by-grade curriculum map (topics, sequencing, pacing).
2. Per-class package: teacher notes + class notes + worksheet (with answer key), for every class across Grades 1–10.
3. Unit/module assessments with answer keys.
4. A style/terminology guide to keep materials consistent across grades.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Strong command of K–10 math curriculum standards (Common Core or equivalent state standards).
2. Prior experience in curriculum design, instructional design, textbook/workbook authoring, or teaching math at the K–10 level.
3. Excellent written communication — able to explain concepts simply and precisely for both teachers and students.
4. Strong organizational skills — able to manage a large, multi-grade content pipeline without losing consistency.
5. Comfortable working with AI writing/content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate drafting, while editing rigorously for accuracy.
6. Proficient with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office for drafting and collaboration; comfortable with cloud-based document workflows.
7. Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital worksheet/quiz tools (Google Classroom, Khan Academy, IXL, etc.).
8. Basic data literacy — able to use student performance/feedback data to identify gaps and revise content.
