We are looking for Packagers to join our growing team on 2nd Shift! The future is bright at E.A. Sween Company and we invite you to come grow with us! Second Shift Position: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am. Starting pay is $18 per hour with $1.25 shift differential. E.A. This position plays an active role in the Company's Lean initiative. Essential Competencies:

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY
* Execute assigned food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to support SQF requirements, regulatory requirements. and customers’ requirements. * Follow all GMP's, standard work, and safety practices. Report any incidents where such procedures are not being followed to Pack-off Lead or Support Supervisor.SAFETY AND HEALTH
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, organized work area.
- Wear all required safety gear such as a hard-hat and gloves.
- Successfully complete the mandatory E.A. Sween quarterly safety training
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment whenever and wherever necessary.
- Ensure that pallets, racks, and dollies are stored and transported with
PRODUCTION
- Rotate all positions on a 30-minute basis.
- Follow all standard work.
- Place label on the box in the correct position.
- Open the box and fold flaps to prepare for boxers to place the product in
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY/PPE USED:
- Dollies

- Bun Trays
- Boxes (Cases)

- Tapers
- Box / Case Coder
- Label/Box making stand
- Palletizing T-Bar Tool
- Cardboard Baler
- Compactor
- Stretch wrap
- Cutting utensil (i.e., knife, scissors)
- Personal Protective Equipment: Hard Hat
- Previous assembly line experience in a high-speed packaging environment
- Must be able to write, count and communicate in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available for work flexible schedule to include occasional weekends.
- Must be able to work in cool conditions (35 to 45 degrees).
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to be on feet all day.
- Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull.
- Must be able to reach overhead.
- Must be able to keep up with manufacturing speeds.
