Cloud Security Platform Engineer (Proofpoint)
Washington, DC
Pay From: $150,000 per year MUST:
Experienced Proofpoint cloud Security Engineer
Eligibility for US Security clearance required
Expert-level experience designing, configuring, and maintaining Proofpoint as an enterprise service
Experience leading migrations from on-premises IronPort email security appliances to Proofpoint cloud-based email security solutions
Experience configuring Proofpoint firewall rules and maintaining block lists
Experience responding to requests to quarantine or release email
Deep understanding of Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) technologies
Deep understanding of Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway and Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway 8.x
Experience with Linux Server
Experience with VMware
Ability to work full-time onsite DUTIES:
Lead the migration from on-premises IronPort email security appliances to a Proofpoint cloud-based email security solution
Ensure a seamless transition to Proofpoint with minimal disruption to email services
Design, configure, and maintain Proofpoint as an enterprise email security service
Configure and maintain Proofpoint firewall rules and block lists
Respond to requests to quarantine or release email
Administer and support Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway
Support and troubleshoot enterprise email security infrastructure
Work with Linux Server and VMware environments
