Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients Educates patients on interpersonal and self-care skills. Assists patients with activities of daily living Conducts age appropriate psycho-educational groups Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly. Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team
