Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) Consultant

Role Description

The Oracle RMCS Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service solutions to ensure accurate, compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15. This role works closely with finance, order management, and IT teams to design revenue contracts, manage performance obligations, and ensure system-wide revenue accuracy and auditability.

Technical Skills Required

Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service (RMCS) Revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15 (5-step model) Performance Obligations, Revenue Contracts, and Revenue Schedules Standalone Selling Price (SSP) determination and management Oracle Fusion Financials integration (AR, GL) Oracle Order Management Cloud / upstream source feeds Hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud (R13) is a must; EBS (R12) revenue/legacy experience is good to have Integration tooling — REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, BIP, middleware

Key Responsibilities

RMCS Implementation & Configuration

Implement and configure Oracle Revenue Management Cloud modules Configure the ASC 606 5-step model: identify contracts, identify performance obligations, determine transaction price, allocate price, recognize revenue Set up SSP rules, SSP profiles, and pricing dimensions Translate business requirements into RMCS system configurations Support end-to-end lifecycle: Design, Build, Test (SIT/UAT), Deployment, Hypercare

Revenue Contracts & Performance Obligations

Configure and manage revenue contracts and contract identification rules Define and maintain performance obligation templates and satisfaction methods Set up revenue allocation, contract modifications, and revenue reallocation Manage revenue schedules, satisfaction events, and recognition timing

Revenue Recognition & Compliance

Ensure accurate revenue tracking and reporting per ASC 606 / IFRS 15 Support integration with Oracle Fusion Financials (AR, GL) Manage revenue accounting, sub-ledger accounting (SLA) rules, and journal creation Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and financial regulations

Data Management & Integration

Manage data migration, validation, and cleansing for source revenue data Integrate RMCS with upstream sources (Order Management, billing, external feeds) via FBDI/REST/SOAP Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and end-to-end revenue integrity

Reporting & Analytics

Develop dashboards and reports on revenue recognition, deferrals, and contract balances Provide insights into revenue trends, contract liability, and unbilled/deferred positions Monitor KPIs such as recognition accuracy, contract aging, and reconciliation status

Support & Troubleshooting

Provide post-implementation support and enhancements Troubleshoot issues related to revenue contracts, performance obligations, and recognition Handle bug fixes and coordinate with technical teams

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with Finance, Accounting, Order Management, and IT teams Communicate effectively with controllers, auditors, and internal stakeholders Support change management and user adoption
