Job Description
Role Overview The Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Private Capital & Investing (Real Assets) will be a part of capital raise, origination, and investor relations efforts within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). This high-impact, entrepreneurial role focuses on marketing specialized real asset financial offerings—including but not limited to AIFs, REITs, SM REITs, Credits and Private Equity —to institutional and ultra-high-net-worth investors. The ideal candidate brings deep financial modelling expertise, comprehensive knowledge of alternative/real estate asset classes, and an active network of top-tier family offices and HNIs. Core Responsibilities 1. Investor Relations & Capital Raising Target Segments: Build and manage relationships with family offices, HNIs, banks, insurance companies, and PF trusts across Mumbai. Product Marketing: Actively market sophisticated real asset investment themes and financial structures (AIFs, REIT/SM REIT IPOs, unlisted real assets focussed fund raises). Revenue Generation: Maintain a sharp focus on yield-generating assets and capital market transactions to achieve commercial targets. 2. Deal Origination & Execution Deal Sourcing: Originate capital market transactions by engaging with asset owners, developers, family offices, and institutional clients. Financial Analysis: Build, analyse, and present complex financial models and valuation data to diverse investor profiles. Internal Liaison: Collaborate with internal stakeholders for cross-functional deal origination and investor referrals. 3. Compliance & Relationship Management Regulatory Compliance: Partner closely with internal and external legal counsel to ensure all transactions meet regulatory standards. CRM Management: Maintain a rigorous, updated database of clients and active prospects within the MMR ecosystem. Qualifications & Experience Education: Master’s degree in business, Finance, or Accounting. A Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or an MBA from a premier institution is highly preferred. Experience: 5 years of proven experience in capital markets and real estate investment banking, syndication, or private equity. Network Benchmark: Must possess active, verifiable relationships with at least 25 HNIs and family offices maintaining an investable surplus of ₹100 Crores and above. Asset Expertise: In-depth, 360-degree knowledge of real asset classes, including residential, commercial, and alternatives. Technical Skills & Competencies Financial Modelling: Deep proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modelling techniques, and institutional valuation methods. Market Intelligence: Thorough understanding of macroeconomics, capital market trends, competitor strategies, and industry-specific metrics. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft highly engaging investment narratives for institutional investors. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Expectations Commercial Target: Ability to operate independently to run a profitable business unit, with a minimum performance target of 3X of base salary in gross collections . Work Environment: Proven capability to thrive in a quasi- entrepreneurial ecosystem while maintaining a strong client-first philosophy.
