Job Title: 2nd Engineer Start Date: Ideally December | Flexible Leave:2:2 Rotation Salary: DOE Contract type: Rotational The Yacht Private & Charter Yacht Itinerary: Spain | Winter Programme The Candidate Specification We are recruiting for a 2nd Engineer to join a private and charter motor yacht on an 2:2 rotation. The yacht will be based in Spain over the winter, with a yard period planned for February and March. The successful candidate must hold a minimum SV Second Engineer CoC or equivalent. An EOOW Unlimited would be highly desirable but is not essential. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is motivated to continue progressing through their engineering qualifications and ultimately work towards a Chief Engineer position. Previous yacht experience would be preferred, although candidates coming from a strong commercial or cruise ship engineering background will also be considered. This would particularly suit someone who is ambitious, keen to learn and looking for a programme that will support their continued professional development. The position offers an 8 weeks on, 8 weeks off rotation alongside a generous annual training allowance, 13th-month bonus and annual salary review. The start date is flexible, although December would be preferred to allow the successful candidate to be onboard ahead of the upcoming yard period.
