L/S Investment Analyst - Biotech

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research across the biotechnology sector, evaluating investment opportunities, and generating actionable long and short investment ideas.
ResponsibilitiesConduct fundamental research on biotechnology companies across multiple therapeutic areas.Evaluate clinical trial data, drug development pipelines, regulatory milestones, and commercial opportunities.Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses.Identify potential catalysts and assess the risk/reward profile of investment opportunities.Develop differentiated long and short investment theses supported by rigorous research.Monitor portfolio holdings, industry developments, clinical readouts, and regulatory updates.Present investment recommendations and research findings to the portfolio manager and investment team.
RequirementsExperience in biotech equity research, preferably within a hedge fund, asset manager, or sell-side research team.Strong understanding of drug development, clinical trials, and the biotechnology industry.Demonstrated ability to conduct fundamental analysis and develop independent investment views.Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.Ability to interpret scientific data and translate complex information into actionable investment insights. xzbcwsv Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
