Day PorterThe Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility during operating hours. This role provides ongoing support to staff and members by ensuring that key areas remain tidy, stocked, and presentable throughout the day. The Day Porter plays an essential role in upholding the organization's standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.Schedule: Monday - Sunday3 hours a dayEssential Functions & ResponsibilitiesMaintain cleanliness and order in high traffic areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, program spaces, and common areasPerform continuous restroom checks and restocking of supplies (soap, paper goods, etc.)Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces throughout the dayEmpty trash and recycling and ensure proper disposalRespond promptly to cleaning requests or spills to ensure safetySupport setup and breakdown of rooms for programs, meetings, and eventsKeep entrances, walkways, and outdoor entry areas neat and clearMonitor cleaning supplies and communicate restock needsProvide friendly and helpful customer service to members, staff, and visitorsAssist facility staff with light maintenance tasks as neededQualificationsPrior custodial, porter, or facility support experience preferredAbility to walk, stand, bend, lift, and carry supplies throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safetyAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyGood communication and customer service skillsReliability, punctuality, and a positive attitudeWork Environment & Physical DemandsFast paced, public facing environmentRequires regular movement throughout indoor and outdoor facility spacesEOE StatementWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
