Commercial Litigation Associate

We are working with a well-established New York City law firm seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience.

Experience involving real estate-related litigation and construction disputes is strongly preferred.The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on litigation experience and the ability to independently manage significant aspects of complex commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:Drafting and arguing substantive motionsTaking and defending depositionsManaging all phases of discovery, including document production and e-discoveryPreparing witnesses for hearings, trials, and arbitrationsParticipating in trials and evidentiary hearingsNegotiating settlements and developing effective dispute resolution strategiesWorking directly with clients on litigation strategy and case management
Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of complex commercial litigation experienceExperience with real estate and construction-related disputes preferredStrong knowledge of New York civil procedureExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsDemonstrated experience handling depositions, motion practice, and discoveryStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentAdmission to the New York Bar
Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
