About Us

We are a growing engineering consultancy providing CAD design and drafting services to clients across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our team.

This is a predominantly work-from-home role with occasional attendance at our office and client sites as required. We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who can work independently, manage their workload effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for a variety of engineering and manufacturing projects. You will work directly from client requirements, sketches, and engineering information to develop detailed production and manufacturing drawings.

The role would suit an experienced CAD professional who is comfortable taking ownership of projects, working independently, and maintaining productivity in a remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.
• Prepare manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and production drawings.
• Interpret engineering specifications, sketches and client requirements.
• Revise and update drawings throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure all drawings meet project requirements and relevant standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing records.
• Minimum 5 years’ CAD experience in a production, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Strong proficiency in both 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to manage workload and meet deadlines while working remotely.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Full driving licence and own transport.
• Experience using SolidWorks.
• Experience working across multiple industries and sectors.
• Knowledge of a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, plastics, timber and composite materials.
• Experience producing drawings for fabrication, manufacturing and assembly processes.
