Are you a skilled optician seeking a rewarding opportunity to cover a six-month maternity leave at Mitchell C Latter MD Inc in South Pasadena, CA? We are in search of a dedicated individual to join our team and assist with optician duties, back office tasks, and patient care. Training will be provided as necessary, and familiarity with billing, particularly VSP, is advantageous. Daily Responsibilities:

• Performing pre-testing procedures
• Conducting lensometry measurements
• Dispensing glasses and aiding in frame selection
• Utilizing autorefractor technology
• Fundus photos/OCT/Corneal topography
• Engaging in optical sales and retail transactions

Required Skills:

• Experience with contact lens training for insertion and removal
• Proficiency in pre-testing techniques
• Knowledge of lensometry measurements
• Ability to conduct patient history taking and vision testing

Nice to Have Skills:

• Background in claims processing 
• Strong organizational skills for merchandising and general repair

Salary and Benefits:

We provide a competitive salary range of $40,000 to $52,000 annually, in addition to health insurance, vacation leave, sick leave, and holiday pay for eligible employees.
