Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM IST (Hybrid – Mandatory Office Presence)

Important Work Requirement (Please Read Carefully Before Applying):

This is a hybrid role based in Vadodara.

Mandatory Office Hours: 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM IST (work from our Vadodara office) Work From Home: 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM IST

Candidates must currently be based in Vadodara OR willing to relocate to Vadodara before joining.

This is not a fully remote role. Applications from candidates unwilling to relocate will not be considered.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for assigned clients. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, processing payroll, clearing AMA items, and assisting with tax data entry under the supervision of a Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting:

Perform monthly and annual bookkeeping using Quick Books Online or Desktop. Fetch bank and credit card statements and record transactions accurately in Quick Books, including journal entries, by identifying expense nature along with payroll and sales tax entries. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Assist with Ask My Accountant (AMA) clearance and support closing entries as per reviewer instructions Maintain proper documentation and organized financial records.

Payroll:

Process payroll for assigned clients using Payroll Relief or equivalent payroll software. Ensure payroll data is accurately reflected in accounting records.

Tax Support:

Perform individual and business tax data entry in Ultra Tax. Assist senior team members during tax preparation and review cycles.

Reporting & Compliance:

Ensure work complies with internal processes and accounting standards. Coordinate closely with the Senior Accountant and follow review feedback promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping. Proficiency in Quick Books Online/Desktop required. Working knowledge of Excel. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and ability to work with reviewers. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Preferred / Added Advantage:

Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles. Exposure to Payroll Relief, Ultra Tax, or similar tax software. Experience working with multiple clients or in a CPA / accounting firm environment.
