<p> Job Title: Sr. Manager/AGM – Fire & Safety </p> <p> Department: Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) </p> <p> Location: Hisar, Haryana </p> <p> Company: Jindal Stainless Limited </p> <p> Experience Required: 10–18 years (preferably in heavy industry/steel manufacturing) </p> <p> Role Objective: </p> <p> To lead and implement proactive fire prevention, protection, and safety measures across the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices, thereby fostering a culture of safety and emergency readiness. </p> <p> Key Responsibilities: </p> <p> Fire Safety & Emergency Response: Plan, implement, and monitor fire safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, extinguishers, suppression systems, etc.) Lead emergency preparedness drills including fire mock drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid training. Maintain and upgrade firefighting equipment and systems as per BIS/NFPA standards. Coordinate with local fire authorities and emergency services for compliance and support. </p><p> Safety Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all fire & safety-related legal and statutory requirements (Factories Act, NBC, OHSAS/ISO 45001). Develop and update SOPs, safety manuals, and fire safety protocols for all plant operations. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and fire hazard analyses. Investigate fire incidents/near misses and implement corrective actions. </p><p> Training & Awareness: Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. Build a safety-first culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives. </p><p> Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with plant operations, EHS teams, and facility heads to enforce fire and safety norms. Prepare monthly safety reports, fire inspection logs, and MIS dashboards for top management review. </p><p> Key Requirements: </p> <p> Educational Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering from a recognized institute Preferably certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar international safety standards </p><p> Experience: 10–18 years of relevant experience in industrial fire safety, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing industries Hands-on knowledge of safety systems implementation and firefighting infrastructure </p><p> Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of fire protection systems and safety legislation Leadership in crisis and emergency handling Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills Proficient in MS Office and safety management tools </p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p>
