Role Description

The Junior Internal Auditor (contract, remote) supports the organization in maintaining transparent and accountable financial and operational practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with planning and executing internal financial audits, reviewing documentation and transactions for accuracy and compliance, and helping to prepare clear and concise audit reports. The role also involves analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and control gaps, and collaborating with team members to recommend practical improvements to processes and internal controls. The Junior Internal Auditor will coordinate with finance and program teams, communicate findings in a professional manner, and maintain strict confidentiality and integrity in all work.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and review Audit Reports and document audit findings clearly and accurately.


• Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify discrepancies, and assess internal controls.


• Foundational knowledge of Finance and experience or coursework related to Financial Audits.


• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to present audit observations to non-technical stakeholders.


• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and a commitment to confidentiality and independence.


• Ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and collaborate with diverse teams across locations.


• Interest in the nonprofit sector and alignment with Heal Social Foundation®’s mission and values.
