Assistant Manager- Assembly & Installation

Job Responsibilities

Understands the mechanical and electrical aspects of equipment/system to be installed.

Equipment overview study together along with design team to understand functionality of equipment/system and to plan for Assembly & Installation.

Forecasting of budget and timing requirement of Assembly and Installation of Automation systems.

Planning of required resources for equipment on time assembly and installation.

Completion of Assembly and Installation within committed budget and timeline.

Site Inspection and preplanning the resources as per site actual condition.

Installation team planning and management at site.

Installation material planning and management at site.

Installation tools planning and management at site.

Heavy equipment’s planning and management at site.

Install, setup and configure equipment/system according to project specification and Customer requirement

Project Management at site.

Supports Controls/Electrical team at shopfloor & site for wiring, configuration and trials.

Ensure project progress with respect to committed timeline during both Assembly & Installation phase.

Ensure Ontime Project Completion and hand over to Customer with Clean FAC (Final Acceptance Certificate).

Long Description

Will be responsible for organizing and providing equipment operational training to Maintenance and Production team together along with Controls team.

Ensure compliance with Industrial standards and site safety requirements and lead the installation team accordingly.

Customer & Stakeholders management.

Should maintain detailed records of installation procedures and daily work updates.

Will ensure effective utilisation of Manpower, Materials and Tools at shopfloor & site.

Record and update the learning points and improvement points from site to design team and project team to consider for future projects periodically.

Will be responsible for Service support to installed equipment/system post installation.

Will be responsible for Shopfloor activities management.

Will be responsible for Technicians team planning, project allocation and management over shopfloor and onsite projects.

Job Requirements

+10 years’ experience in Assembly & Installation of Industrial Automation equipment/Systems.
