Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with strong possibility of extension

Start Date: November 16, 2026 (Tentative)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support the outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting healthcare providers, rooming patients, documenting clinical information, and performing routine medical assistant duties in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, and pulse oximetry readings.
• Document patient medical histories, medications, and allergies in the electronic health record.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, blood glucose testing, and 12-lead EKGs as qualified.
• Assist providers with procedures, examinations, and patient positioning.
• Administer medications, injections, and immunizations within the candidate’s scope of practice and facility protocols.
• Support appointment scheduling, chart preparation, insurance verification, and authorization forms.
• Conduct follow-up phone calls and assist with telephone triage according to clinic protocols.
• Maintain clinical supplies and ensure examination rooms are clean and properly stocked.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following experience and education pathways:

Option 1

• At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Associate degree or diploma in Medical Assisting.
• Copy of educational transcripts required before starting.
• Active Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Option 2

• At least 5 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Active Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• AMT – American Medical Technologists
• NHA – National Healthcareer Association
• ARMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants
• NCCT – National Center for Competency Testing

• Charting System: Cerner.
• Patient Population: Adults.
• Patient Ratio: 1:5.
• Daily Census: Approximately 70 patients.
• Clinic Rooms: 13.
• Floating: Mandatory; candidates must be willing to float to facilities as directed.
• Weekends and Call: Not required.
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required.
• Flu Vaccine: Required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered under facility guidelines.
• Scrubs: Any solid color.
